【摘要】:1.1Scope.1.1.1Title.NFPA301,CodeforSafetytoLifefromFireonMerchantVessels,shallbeknownastheMerchantVesselCodeandisreferredtohereinas?thiscode?or?thecode.?1.1.2Thecodeaddressesconstruction,arrangement,protection,andspaceutilizationfactorsthatarenecessarytominimizedangertolifefromfire,smoke,fumes,orpanic.Italsoprovidesforreasonableprotectionagainstpropertydamageandavoidanceofenvironmentaldamageconsistentwiththenormaloperationofvessels.FundamentalrequirementsapplicabletoallvesselsarefoundinChapters1through9.ThesefundamentalrequirementsaremodifiedinChapters10through18asapplicableforanytypeofspace.TherequirementsinChapters1through18aremodifiedinChapters19through21asapplicableforanygivenvesseltype.Forexample,apassengervesselwouldfollowtherequirementsofChapters1through18andChapter21.1.1.3Thecodeidentifiestheminimumcriteriaforthedesignofegressfacilitiessoastopermitpromptescapeofpassengersandcrewtosafeareasaboardvesselsand,wherenecessary,tosurvivalcraftembarkationstations.1.1.4Thecoderecognizesthatlifesafetyismorethanamatterofegressand,accordingly,dealswithotherconsiderationsthatareessentialtolifesafety.Italsorecognizestheuniqueoperatingenvironmentofmerchantvesselsandtherelationshipsamonglifesafety,propertyprotection,andenvironmentalprotectionanddealswiththesecriteriaaccordingly.1.1.5*Wherepermanentlymooredandoccupiedasbuildings,merchantvesselsshallbepermittedtobetreatedasbuildingsandshallbepermittedtobesubjecttotheprovisionsofappropriatebuildingcodesandstandardsasspecifiedbythelocalauthorityhavingjurisdiction.A.1.1.5PermanentlymooredvesselsfallwithinthescopeofNFPA101,LifeSafetyCode.

【摘要】:Thepurposeofthistestmethodistoassesstheinstallationadequacyandtheoveralleffectsofservice-relateddeterioration(moisture,etc.)ontheEIFSwallassemblyasopposedtosmalllocalizedareasofdegradation.ResistancetopulltestingasdeterminedbythistestisusedasoneofthefactorsinevaluatingtheEIFSassemblyonaspecificproject.ThevaluesobtainedbythistestmethodarenotpurportedtoberepresentativeoftheactualwindloadcapacityorotherstructuralpropertiesofaspecificEIFScladwallinstallation,butmaybehelpfulinassessingsuchloadcapacities.Sincethistestisusedforfieldevaluationofexistingfacilities,loadresultsobtainedfromthistestmustbeinterpretedbasedonsoundengineeringpractice,applicablebuildingregulations,andcodeshavingjurisdiction.Itisthediscretionofthetestspecifiertodirectlyutilizetheresultsderivedbythistestmethod,orelsetoutilizethetestresultswithanappropriatefactorofsafetytoobtainacceptableworkingloadsforeachproject.Thismethodisintendedforuseontestspecimensoccurringorinstalledonexistingbuildings.ThelossofoutwardwindloadresistanceofanEIFSwallassemblyafterexposuretomoistureandotherweatherconditionsmaycompromisetheabilityofthecladdingorotherwallcomponentstoperformadequatelyinplace.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovideanymeansbywhichthetestresultsmaybegeneralizedtothelargerwallarea.Sucheffortsshouldbebasedonexperienceandengineeringjudgement.Themannerinwhichthetestloadisappliedmayaffecttheloadcapacityobtainedfromusingthisstandard.AdiscussionofvariousloadapplicationtechniquesandtheireffectsisgiveninAppendixX1.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaproceduretodeterminetheresistanceofasectionoftheexteriorinsulationandfinishsystem(EIFS)tooutwardloadsimposedonanexistingexteriorwallassemblythathasbeeninplaceonthebuildingforanunspecifiedperiodoftime.ItisdestructiveinnaturewithinthelocalizedareastestedandrequiresappropriaterepairoftheEIFScladdingandsheathingoncethetestprocedurehasbeencompleted.Thistestprocedureutilizesmechanicalmethodstoobtaininformation,whichmaybehelpfulinevaluatingthenaturalapplicationofnegativewindloadsontheEIFSassembly.Somevariabilityofresultsshouldbeanticipatedwithinthewallassemblytestedduetodifferencesininstallationprocedures,exposure,orabusesubsequenttoapplication.1.2Thistestmethodissuitableforuseoncladdingassembliesthathavebeeninplaceashorttime(newconstruction),aswellasforlongerperiodsinordertoevaluatedetrimentaleffectsontheEIFSlamina,insulationattachment,substrateintegrity,andattachmentsafterexposuretoweatherandotherenvironmentalconditions.Itisnotintendedtoevaluatetheperformanceofstructuralframing.Testresultsonanyparticularbuildingmaybehighlyvariabledependingonspecimenlocationandcondition,andaresubjecttointerpretationbythetestspecifier.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,orequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1Duetovariationsinexposureandconstructionassemblies,fieldspecimensselectedfortestingutilizingthistestmethodmayexperiencesuddenfailureandreleaseoftheimposedloads.SeeNote7forfurtherinformation.
